People need to do more to stop war in Iraq

Editors, Asheville Global Report, I am writing in the hopes that you share my opinion so you can help me. My name is Emily Sascha (Ya-sha) Eliot-Gaines, and I am a student at The Learning Community School. I believe that war must come to a stop, and in order to do that, we must do more than just participate in peace rallies about two times a year. Also, war isn't helping anyone in their life, so we are just wasting our time talking about it. When I was little, I went to a peace rally and knew we were doing something about peace, but I didn't understand the whole concept. When I refer to Mark Twain, he said: "Kindness is the way for the deaf to hear and the blind to see." My feelings about this are very sincere and I don't believe that we are doing enough. Sincerely, Emily Eliot-Gaines Asheville, NC
